Pittsburgh-based private chef Jon Lloyd brought his culinary expertise to Mrs. Kelsey Chapin’s Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) class, teaching students how to create delicious traditional buffalo wings and sweet chili wings.
Lloyd, a Bethel Park resident and a proud parent of Bethel Park High School students Riley, a senior, and Noah, a sophomore, showcased his skills and passion for cooking during the interactive session.
In addition to his work as a private chef, Lloyd has gained recognition for his engaging online presence. His YouTube channel recently surpassed 1 million views and boasts over 9,000 subscribers, making him a well-known figure in the culinary community.
Lloyd's impressive credentials include being a semifinalist on the popular cooking competition show "Master Chef," where he fondly recalled his experience with renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, describing him as “surprisingly kind.” He has also appeared on Pittsburgh Today Live.
The demonstration not only provided students with hands-on cooking experience but also inspired them to explore their own culinary interests. Lloyd’s visit exemplifies the connection between local talent and education, fostering a passion for cooking among the next generation.
