Learn About College Financial Aid – Two Events in September

Families in the Bethel Park area will have two valuable opportunities to learn more about the college financial aid process this September. The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will sponsor the virtual event and Washington & Jefferson College will sponsor an in-person meeting at Mt. Lebanon High School to help students and their families navigate the often-complex journey of applying for financial aid.

The virtual event is scheduled from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024. This free session, held on Microsoft Teams, will guide attendees through the steps of applying for financial aid and offer insights on how to finance higher education. Participants can join using the Meeting ID: 259-892-460-00 and Passcode: KH8HkA.

For those who prefer an in-person experience, the Mt. Lebanon Financial Aid Evening will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, in the High School Fine Arts Theatre. Adam Manno, Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid at Washington & Jefferson College, will present an informative overview of the financial aid process. This session will cover options for students applying to colleges, trade schools, and community colleges.

These events are especially beneficial for parents of juniors and seniors as they prepare for the upcoming financial aid application process. For those unable to attend the in-person session, a recording will be made available afterward.

This is a unique opportunity to gain essential knowledge and ensure your family is well-prepared for the financial aspects of higher education. Don't miss out on these valuable opportunities to learn more from the experts about the financial aid process!
