Bethel Park Athletic Department Celebrates College-Bound Athletes at Annual Recognition Reception

The Athletic Department of Bethel Park High School recently held its 15th Annual College-Bound Student Athlete Recognition Reception, honoring 29 seniors who will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level next year. The event celebrated the dedication and achievements of these student-athletes as they prepare to take their talents to colleges and universities across the country.

Bethel Park wrestling coach Hunter Kernan, a BPHS alumnus (’18) who wrestled at the University of Pittsburgh, shared his journey and offered words of encouragement. He spoke about the challenges of college athletics and urged the students to give their all, emphasizing the importance of making the most out of their college careers.

Principal Mr. Joseph Villani also addressed the student-athletes, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

"Congratulations to all of our college-bound student-athletes. We wish you the best of luck at the collegiate level!" Villani said.

The event underscored Bethel Park's pride in its students' athletic and academic accomplishments, celebrating their promising futures.
