PA State Senate Recognizes Bethel Park’s Wasemann

“Ms. Pat” Wasemann, who worked in Bethel Park Schools since the early 70’s before retiring at the end of last school year, recently received a citation from the Pennsylvania Senate, recognizing her years of service to the community.

The citation was sponsored by Sen. Devlin Robinson and signed off on by President Pro Tempore Kim Ward.

Full Citation:

Whereas, the Senate of Pennsylvania takes great pleasure in recognizing those citizens who, through dedication and excellence, contribute in a meaningful way to the well-being of their communities and ultimately to all the people of this great Commonwealth; and

Whereas, Patricia Wasemann is being honored upon her June 2023 retirement as a noon aide at Memorial Elementary School in the Bethel Park School District after fifty-three years of dedicated service; and

Whereas, employed by Memorial Elementary School for more than five decades, Ms. Wasemann was responsible for tending to the children in the cafeteria, ensuring they were behaving and greeting kindergarten students at the front doors as they were dropped off by parents and buses. Additionally, she helped clean the school during the summers for approximately twenty years. Active in her community, Ms. Wasemann is a devoted member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Upper St. Clair and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, where she has served for fifty-one years. During her career, she strove to adhere to the highest standards of service and earned the respect and admiration of her many friends and colleagues.

Now therefore, the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania extends heartfelt congratulations to Patricia Wasemann upon the occasion of her well-deserved retirement; expresses appreciation for the exemplary dedication to duty which she demonstrated; extends best wishes for a most happy and rewarding future.
