IMS Students Participate in Design Lives Here Challenge

Students from Independence Middle School recently participated in the Design Lives Here event at WQED Studios.  
 
The students participated in engineering design challenges throughout the day, building devices such as roller coasters, rockets, and self-propelled vehicles.  
 
Student-created inventions were judged by a panel of scientists and engineers as well.  
 
Ella Korb, Riley Clay Donaldson, and Izzie Miller took home the top prizes for the design challenges.  
 
Participating students included: Leah Frank, Magnolia Cavagnaro, Sydney Kellander, Ava Stewart, Emma Farrell, Hayden Morrison, Courtney Felicetti, Hailey Hines, Elyse Rost, Jenna Priddy, Nina Wedowski, Sophia Kehrer, Jordan Tewell, Abdullah Danyan, Sarah George, Aiysha Dibble, and Karsyn Weiland.
