BPHS Students Excel on AATG National German Exam

Honors and AP German students from Bethel Park High School recently earned four Gold Awards, three Silver Awards, and three Bronze Awards on the 2024 AATG National German Exam.

On the Level 4 exam, seniors Lucas Hertzel (95th percentile) and Brandon Mason (92nd percentile), as well as junior River Hendrych-Bondra (91st percentile) earned Gold Awards. Junior Brady McKiernan (87th percentile) earned a Silver Award, and senior Jacob Kalogeris (76th percentile) earned a Bronze Award.

On the Level 3 exam, sophomore Benjamin Campbell earned a Gold Award for his score in the 90th percentile. Sophomore Holly McGough (82nd percentile) and junior James Lowen (81st percentile) earned Silver Awards, and sophomores Christian Tabler (74th percentile) and Katharine Tabler (72nd percentile) each earned Bronze Awards.

As a result of his score, Campbell is now eligible to compete for a scholarship to travel and study in Germany this summer.

In addition, nine other BPHS students were recognized by the AATG for their achievements on the exams. Sophomores Samuel Hoppe, Colin Finnegan, and John Busalacchi were recognized on the Level 3 exam.

Those recognized on the Level 4 exam were juniors Frederick Mach, Sydney Felicetti, Michael Taylor, and Alexandra Thunborg, and seniors Parker Nelson and Chloe Gorman.
