56 BPHS Students Recognized as AP Scholars

Fifty-six Bethel Park High School students were named Advanced Placement Scholars by the College Board. The program recognizes students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through Advanced Placement Courses and Exams.

Students who take AP Exams can earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams. Approximately 22 percent of the 2.8 million students worldwide who took AP Exams in 2023 performed sufficiently high to earn an AP Scholar Award.

Thirteen students were named AP Scholars with Distinction for receiving an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, with scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Bethel Park’s AP Scholars with Distinction included seniors Bryce Clancy, Henry Gaston, Hersh Kambli, Lupe McElvenny, Joshua Lubawy and junior Devin Collier.

Diksha Adhikari, Cameron Hanney, Addison Hill, Lauren Heh, Cody Hendrych-Bondra, Lucas Varley and Mira Weston, all members of the Class of 2023, were also honored. 

Fourteen students were named AP Scholars with Honor for receiving an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, with scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. They were seniors Samantha Downing, Lucas Hertzel, Cassandra Robinson, Emma Smith and Elena Wassil; as well as juniors Sophio Iorio and Ronald Slavonic.

Class of 2023 graduates who earned those honors were Eva Blatz, Keegan Brusoski, Coby Goelz, Jack Hartman, Lily Hemphill, Anna Minick and Jeon Varghese.
 
Twenty-nine students were named AP Scholars for receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. That group included seniors Julia Benlock, Emma Burke, Jesse Haefner, Clara McGough, Grace Mowl, Luke Myers, Parker Nelson, Katie Peterson, Delaney Puskas, Madelyn Sams, Riswanth Haris Sundaresh Babu and Louis Williams; and junior Caleb Steele.

Class of 2023 alumni Leah Armstrong, Jeremy Blocklin, Lydia Blum, Sydney Edwards, Dylan Finnell, Anthony Hughes, Corrine Hughes, Haiden Hunter, Carter Kicinski, Brock Kitterman, Tyler Kramer, Olivia Massari, Clara Moir, Allison Morgan, Owen Sivetz and Abigail Turka were included in that esteemed cohort. 

Bethel Park High School currently offers 19 Advanced Placement classes.
