Fall Play: The Second Star - Nov. 9-11

Please join us Nov. 9-11 (at 7 p.m. each night) for what promises to be a wonderful production of the original play, "The Second Star," by Cortney Williams.  Tickets go on sale to the public starting on Nov. 1. They are $5 each and can be purchased online through eServices. We will post the link then.

This original work is a behind-the-scenes comedy and features a large 30-student cast.

The Second Act Theater faces its last curtain call in the show. To save the community theater from closing, the managing director decides to try to mount a last-minute benefit performance of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," starring the theater’s most famous alumni, Broadway star Mattie McLinden -- an egotistical theater diva -- in a reprisal of her first role as Puck.

As the company members hurry to put together the show in only two weeks, personalities hilariously clash, and tempers flare among the eclectic members of the theater company and the egotistical Broadway star.

Before the curtain can rise on Second Act Theater’s most important production, several calamities make it clear that "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is more like a nightmare.

Students and family members can secure their seats in advance, starting on Oct. 23. Bethel Park employees can buy advance tickets starting Oct. 26.
