Athletic Department Partners with e-Services for Tickets

Bethel Park School District began its expanded partnership with Baldwin-based eServices Technology this fall to develop a more convenient way for guests to purchase tickets to the school district’s live events.

Athletic director Laura Grimm says the new ticket-selling process came in response to fan opinion. “We are constantly communicating with our fans on ways to improve their game day experience, and much of the feedback we have received in recent years has centered around our fans’ frustrations with getting into our games in a timely fashion,” she said. “This new ticket-selling system will help alleviate some of that congestion.”

Grimm anticipated an adjustment period for some fans and had on-site ticket concierges to help guide fans through the ticket reservation process. She also pointed out that many other ticket-selling entities have already shifted to the online model, and noted that most fans were already accustomed to it.

“Many of the people attending our games also regularly attend other sporting events like Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins games, and our process mirrors theirs, which allowed our fans to adjust to the new system rather quickly,” said Grimm.

Online ticket sales are familiar to Bethel Park. For the past several years, fans have had the opportunity to buy tickets to all Hawks sporting events through various ticket-selling websites. Also, tickets to last spring’s high school musical, “The Addams Family,” were sold exclusively through eServices Technology. Tickets to this year’s spring musical and will also be sold exclusively online through eServices Technology.
