Bethel Park School District comprises five elementary schools, Neil Armstrong for grades 5-6, Independence Middle School for grades 7-8 and the Senior High School. Bethel Park educates 5,000 students annually. We hope you'll take some time and use this web site to explore all that our school district has to offer.

2009-2010 Budget Update--At its June 25, 2009 meeting, the Bethel Park Board of School Directors passed the Operating Budget for the 2009-2010 school year of $70,069,162, with a millage rate of 23.73, which is a .55 millage increase over the 2008-2009 school year. 

* Bethel Park Delegation Arrives in China!  The 17-member Bethel Park Delegation, comprised of district employees, students and their families, safely arrived in China on June 19 for a three-week tour, which includes a visit with our sister school Xing Zhi High School in Shanghai.  To read the blog from Assistant Superintendent Nancy Rose, please click here. * Congratulations BPHS Class of 2009! The 100th graduating class of Bethel Park High School graduated under sunny skies on Saturday, June 6 at Bethel Park Stadium. * Calling All BPHS Marching Band Alumni!  Your Alma Mater wants you to participate in the Bethel Park Alumni Band, which will perform at the BPHS Marching Band Festival on Saturday, September 26.  Please click here to learn more about the opportunity!  We hope you can join us for the fun!
* Plans are Underway to Build a New Bethel Park High School!  Please click here to see some photos of what our new high school will look like!  We're in the process of preparing bid documents with the intent to award bids in June 2009, break ground this summer and have a new high school built in 2011.  For more information about the project, please click here
* FREE/REDUCED BREAKFAST AND LUNCH UPDATE--The Bethel Park School District participates in the National School Lunch Program.  Please be aware that Free/Reduced Meals are available to those who qualify.  Updated forms are available by clicking here.  Please be advised that even if your student(s) qualified for Free/Reduced meals in 2008-2009, you MUST reapply for the 2009-2010 school year.  If you have questions, please call Dana Walker at 412-854-8426.
* 19 BPSD Employees Receive Extra Mile Awards--Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a Bethel Park School District employee for an Extra Mile Award.  The awards were presented during a morning inservice program on May 19 in the BPHS auditorium.  Please click here to see the list of awardees.
* Lincoln Students to Star in Turkey Hill Commercials! Lincoln Elementary students participated in the filming of four commercials for Turkey Hill Ice Cream, which will be shown May 25-July 5 on various stations throughout the Pittsburgh market, including KDKA, WPXI, WTAE and WPGH. * Parents, Help Us Communicate with You Electronically--In an attempt to minimize the amount of paper copies generated by the school district and to increase electronic communication with all Bethel Park parents, we are using the e-mail capabilities of the ALERT NOW Notification Service.  At the beginning of the school year, we asked all parents to fill out a form with their email address on it and return it to school with their children.  If you have not done so, it's not too late.  Please call the building secretary at your child's school and provide your email address to the secretary.  Don't miss any communication from the school because your email address is not in our system!
